Usually it's 5v5, but you can find community servers that offer 6v6 or more. So, for the main game and esports, it's 5v5. If you're looking for something different, those custom servers might be your jam.

Nope, CS:GO is traditionally played as a 5v5. Each team - terrorists and counter-terrorists - has five players. This format is what you'll mostly see, especially in competitive play and official esports events. It's all about strategy, skill, and teamwork.

5v5. If you're seeing 6v6, you're either in a custom game or not playing standard CS:GO.
