Totally depends on what you mean by 'plastic.' If you're talking those super shiny, hard cards that feel more like a credit card than a traditional card, then yeah, they're not official Pokemon TCG cards. The real deal is usually made from a cardstock and definitely not plastic. That being said, some unofficial cards can be pretty cool collectors' items in their own right!

No, they're not legit. Pokemon cards are cardstock, not plastic. If it feels like your credit card, it's a no-go.

Short answer? Yes, they're fake. Real Pokemon cards aren't made of plastic. But hey, if you love 'em, you do you!

Actually got a plastic Charizard once at a flea market, thought it was the coolest thing ever till I learned real cards are never plastic. Was a bit bummed but it's still a neat keepsake!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
