Eh, themes are just cosmetic. They don't really add anything to the game except a new look. If you're all about the aesthetics, go for it, but if you're playing purely for strategy, you can probably save your caps for something more useful.
Yes! Themes are totally worth it. They give your Vault that personal touch and can really make the game more enjoyable. I decked my vault out with a Brotherhood of Steel theme, and it's awesome seeing my dwellers in that iconic setting. Makes the game feel even more immersive.
Themes? Meh. Save your caps for upgrades and expansions. Looks are nice, but when the radroaches come knocking, pretty walls won't save you.
