Nope, Xbox Live doesn't have an option to 'hide' friends. However, you can always block or mute them if you need some peace and quiet!

Yeah, Xbox Live doesn't let you hide friends, but you can still create custom privacy settings to keep your activities private.

Unfortunately, there's no way to hide someone on your Xbox Live friends list. You can manage your privacy settings or remove them entirely though.
