No way, mobs spawning on conveyor belts? That's just wrong, they should know better!
Absolutely they can! Had my base overrun because I thought a conveyor belt floor would be a safe way to collect items. Well, I was wrong. The mobs didn't care and decided to spawn anyway. Lesson learned.
