Nope, you can't destroy the theme plant in Fallout Shelter. Once you've built it, it's there to stay unless you decide to remove or replace all your themes. So, think carefully about where you want to place it!

Actually, from my experience, the theme plant is permanent. It's part of making your Vault more personal. If you're thinking of rearranging, you might have to work around it.
