Nope, polarization (or Forma-ing) resets your weapon, Warframe, or companion back to Rank 0, so it won't give you any Mastery Rank (MR) points.

Trust me, I've Forma-ed my Warframes and weapons a ton. It doesn't help with MR, but it does make your gear way stronger!

Polarization is awesome for maximizing builds, but it doesn't give any MR. You'll need to level new gear for that sweet MR boost!
