Nope, you can't turn a wired Xbox One controller into a wireless one. You'll have to buy a wireless controller if that's what you need.

You can't turn a wired Xbox One controller into a wireless one, but you can always get a wireless adapter for your PC to use a wireless Xbox controller!

Unfortunately, it's just not possible to convert a wired Xbox One controller to wireless. But hey, wireless controllers are pretty great! Maybe it's time for an upgrade?

Trust me, I tried all kinds of hacks to make my wired Xbox One controller wireless. No luck. You'll need to get an actual wireless controller.
