Sure, you can play with fake Pokemon cards, especially if you're just having a casual game with friends who don't mind. Just keep in mind that official tournaments and serious players will definitely prefer the real deal for the integrity of the game.

Absolutely not. Respect the game, play with real cards.

Playing with fake Pokemon cards is a no-go for any official events or tournaments. They're super strict about authenticity to keep the competition fair. But for a goofy game night with pals? Go for it, just make sure everyone's cool with it.

I've played with fake cards before when I was just starting out because I didn't want to invest in real ones yet. Didn't really affect our fun, but as I got more into the game, I definitely felt the urge to get the real ones. There's something about having authentic cards that just feels right.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
