I've used satellite internet for Xbox Live. It works, but the latency can be a killer in competitive games. Not great, but it’s okay for casual gaming.

You can play Xbox Live with satellite internet, but be prepared for some lag, especially in fast-paced games. It's doable, but not ideal!
