They mix up the weapon pool each season, so while some snipers might disappear for a while, they're usually back before you know it!

Nope, Fortnite hasn't removed snipers completely! They sometimes vault certain sniper rifles for a season but bring them back later.

I've been playing regularly and can confirm snipers are still in the game, though which snipers are available can change with updates.
