Nope, Midas is still alive and kicking! He keeps reappearing in different forms, like Midas Rex and Midsummer Midas. You can't keep a golden man down.
Midas got eaten by a shark, but he's come back in different skins, so technically, he's still around.
Midas isn't dead, he's just taking a loooong vacation. He got chomped by a shark in Chapter 2, Season 3, but hey, this is Fortnite. No one stays gone for long!
