Minecraft took the lead! It was released in 2009, a couple of years before Terraria made its debut in 2011. Minecraft started shaping the sandbox world before Terraria added its own 2D twist to the genre.

Minecraft, no contest. It's like the OG sandbox game. Terraria's cool and all, but Minecraft definitely laid the groundwork.

Minecraft, hands down. Terraria's got its charm, but it's basically the younger sibling here.

Terraria came out in 2011, while Minecraft first hit the scene in 2009. So, Minecraft was first, paving the way for sandbox games. Terraria might not have been the first, but it sure adds its own flavor to the sandbox mix!

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
