Honestly, the fact they use the same engine is why Apex feels so good. Played Titanfall 2 for ages, and jumping into Apex felt like slipping into a familiar suit. Smooth gameplay, familiar mechanics. They really nailed it with the engine choice.

Short answer: Yep, they're engine twins.

Yeah, both Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends run on the same engine, which is the Modified Source Engine. Respawn Entertainment worked magic on it for Titanfall 2 and then adapted it for Apex Legends to handle the battle royale chaos. It's why some of the movement feels slick and the environments have that immersive vibe.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
