Do you need a mic for Rec Room?
Nah, you don't absolutely need a mic for Rec Room, but it definitely makes the experience a lot better. Communicating with other players, especially in team-based games or social spaces, is way easier and more fun with a mic. Plus, it helps with the whole social aspect of the game. You can still enjoy Rec Room without one, but if you have the chance to use a mic, I'd say go for it!

Mic? Optional. Fun? Mandatory. Rec Room's all about having a good time, mic or no mic.
You can totally play Rec Room without a mic. I've done it plenty of times when I couldn't talk. The game has some basic communication tools and gestures that let you interact with others. It's not the same as voice chatting, but you won't be completely isolated.
