Don't wanna pay for Xbox Live Gold? You can still enjoy the single-player campaign mode in Cold War. Multiplayer, though? That's a no-go without it.

Nope, Xbox Live Gold isn't needed for campaign or local multiplayer. But for online multiplayer, you'll need it.

Yup, you need Xbox Live Gold if you want to play the multiplayer features of Call of Duty: Cold War online. Single-player campaign? You're good without it!

Yes, to play any online mode in CoD Cold War, you definitely need Xbox Live Gold. Offline modes don't require it though.
