Nope, Apex Legends is all about that Source engine life. Unreal Engine is great and all, but Respawn decided to stick with what they know best from their Titanfall days.

Nah, Apex Legends doesn't use Unreal Engine. It runs on the Source engine, which is the same tech behind games like Half-Life 2 and Titanfall. Pretty cool, right? Gives it that unique feel separate from a lot of other battle royales out there.

Actually, Apex Legends uses the Source engine, not Unreal. This might explain why the game has such a distinct movement and shooting mechanics compared to others.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
