Yeah, it autosaves, but don't rely on it too heavily. Always manually save your game to avoid any heartbreak. I've had moments where I thought it autosaved, but then poof, progress gone because I didn't manually save before shutting off.

Totally! GTA 5 saves your progress automatically after you complete missions. So, no sweat if you forget to save manually; the game's got your back. Just make sure you see that little spinning icon at the bottom right corner, that's the sign it's saving.
