No, Uzui Tengen survives the battle, though he does decide to hang up his swords permanently.
Lord Tengen does not die, but he retires from being a Hashira after the battle against Upper Moon Six demons. He makes it out alive, just missing a hand and an eye!
Spoiler alert: Tengen Uzui stays alive, just with a few extra scars to show for it.
