Nope, for offline modes or single-player campaigns you don't need Xbox Live. But for multiplayer, it's a must-have!

Yes, you'll need Xbox Live Gold to enjoy the multiplayer chaos in Star Wars Battlefront 2. Single player content is fine without it though.

I play SWBF2 all the time. You definitely need Xbox Live Gold for online multiplayer, but you can go solo in other modes without it!
