Yep, in modes where you're playing under National League rules, your pitcher will have to step up to the plate. Buy him some batting gloves!

From my experience, if you're playing in a National League park or using NL rules, the pitcher will bat. One time, my pitcher hit an accidental triple. It was epic!

Just disable the DH rule in settings if you want to see your pitchers hit.

In MLB The Show, whether the pitcher bats depends on the league rules you're playing by. In games using National League rules, the pitcher will have to swing the bat, but in American League games, there's a designated hitter (DH) instead. Batter up, pitcher!

If you're a MLB The Show Companion App player looking for extra credit or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!
