Well, it's bittersweet. While there's a hopeful resolution with Kaneki and Touka, not everyone makes it out unscathed. Still, it’s a satisfying conclusion for most fans!
It's definitely happier than the original series' ending. Kaneki and Touka start a family and the world seems to be moving toward better understanding between ghouls and humans.
Nope, it’s not really that happy. Too much tragic stuff leads up to it. But hey, at least Kaneki gets some kind of peace, right?
