Your dead body doesn't despawn, but you better hurry back! Other players might snag your loot if you're playing in multiplayer.
It does not despawn, but forget where you died, and it might as well have vanished into thin air! Keep an eye on that map.
Valheim bodies never despawn. I once left mine for days and found it just like I left it, a sad pile of Viking remains.
If you're playing on a server with mods, those might change how long bodies stick around. Vanilla Valheim, though? Bodies stay put.
