How can I remove Messenger from Facebook?
Unfortunately, you can't remove Messenger without deactivating Facebook. But you can simply log out of Messenger and delete the app if you just don't want to use it.

You can't completely remove Messenger from Facebook, but you can deactivate your Messenger account by deactivating your Facebook account. Go to your Facebook settings, select 'Your Facebook Information,' then choose 'Deactivation and Deletion.'
I had the same issue! The best solution was to deactivate my Facebook account temporarily. It automatically deactivated Messenger too. Not the most convenient, but it works.
