I do it all the time! If you wanna save a video from your own story, just tap and hold the snap in your story, then tap the down arrow. Boom, saved!
Here's the trick: if it's your own snap, just swipe up and hit the down arrow to save it to Memories or your camera roll. For others' snaps, ask them to send it to you through chat; you can save from there!
