How Can I Tell What Edition My Pokemon Card Is?

It's actually pretty easy once you know where to look! Check the bottom corner of your Pokemon card - you should see a little symbol there, which represents the set it belongs to. Also, if you have a first edition card, there'll be a '1st Edition' stamp on it. But, not all sets have 1st Editions, so if you don't see that stamp, don't worry. It might still be a special card!

Just look for the '1st Edition' stamp. If it's not there, it ain't first edition, simple as that.

Been collecting for years and here's a tip: Edition info is all in the tiny symbols, but remember, rarity symbols (like common or rare) are not edition marks. Those symbols alongside the set icons help you identify the set and rarity, not the edition. And yeah, the magic word for first editions is literally seeing '1st Edition' stamped on your card.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
