How Deep Does Corruption Go in Terraria?
In Terraria, corruption spreads through grass, stone, and sand, transforming them into their corrupted counterparts. It can reach all the way to the underworld, but it stops at the cavern layer where it won't be able to convert hardmode ores. So, if you're worried about losing your precious resources to the creeping void, the cavern layer is your safe bet. Just keep in mind, without proper precautions, it can spread pretty far vertically and horizontally.
