How did 4Kids' One Piece end?

4Kids' One Piece ended pretty abruptly with the heavily localized Alabasta Arc. They chopped and changed so much of the original content that it barely resembled the Oda masterpiece by the end. It wraps up with Luffy defeating Crocodile, but with none of the nuance or character development of the original. Honestly, it ends in a way that leaves a lot to be desired if you're a fan of the depth and heart of the original One Piece.

4Kids' version of One Piece ended after the Alabasta saga, never getting to the Sky Island arc or anything beyond. It was like they pulled the plug mid-journey, leaving Luffy and crew mid-adventure. For the true One Piece experience, the original Japanese version with subtitles or the Funimation dub is the way to go. The 4Kids adaptation just doesn't do it justice.

It didn't really 'end', it just kinda... stopped. 4Kids dropped One Piece like hot potatoes after the Alabasta Arc. If you're looking for closure, you won't find it in the 4Kids adaptation.

The ending? More like a sudden stop. 4Kids wrapped up their One Piece adaptation with a bow made of confusion and missing episodes. Pro tip: switch to the Funimation version or original Japanese for the real One Piece experience.
