She fell down some stairs. Sounds simple, but in a world where people fight with the power of Devil Fruits and defy death regularly, Kuina's death brings a heartbreaking touch of reality to the series.

Kuina, Zoro's childhood friend and rival, tragically died after falling down a flight of stairs. It's such a mundane way to go, especially in a world filled with epic battles and devil fruit powers, but it shows that even in the world of One Piece, ordinary accidents can happen. It adds a layer of realism and sorrow to Zoro's backstory, fueling his determination to become the world's greatest swordsman in her honor.

Honestly, I think Oda chose stairs as Kuina's cause of death to highlight the unpredictability of life, even in a manga. It's such a contrast to the grand adventures and battles in One Piece.
