Meruem met his end due to the Miniature Rose bomb's poison, courtesy of Chairman Netero.
Meruem died from poisoning after his final battle with Netero. Netero detonated a bomb inside his own body, releasing a deadly poison that eventually killed Meruem.
Netero's Miniature Rose bomb did the trick! The poison was so potent it took down even the mighty Chimera Ant King.
