Octane, the adrenaline junkie of Apex Legends, lost his legs in a daredevil stunt gone wrong. He was trying to beat a Gauntlet speed record using a grenade to propel himself forward. Needless to say, it didn't end as expected, but on the bright side, it got him his iconic bionic legs!

Octane's leg loss? Purely self-inflicted for the sake of adrenaline and speed. He used a grenade to try and speedrun a course - bad move, but got him those cool robotic legs.
