Basically, Floki, who's working for King Sweyn, hires Askeladd to track down Thors because of his reputation from his Jomsviking days. They just can't let the guy live in peace!

Thors got found because of his epic reputation as a Jomsviking warrior. Floki tracked him down in Iceland, where he'd been hiding out, living the dad life.

They find Thors through sheer plot necessity. Someone had to kick off Thorfinn's revenge arc, right?

They find Thors living a peaceful life in Iceland! When Askeladd and his mercenaries arrive, they convince him to join their raid by kidnapping Thorfinn. Gotta love how nothing ever stays peaceful in this show!
