Try lowering the pitch speed slider in the settings! Makes those fastballs look like they're coming at you at warp speed.

Honestly, just play at a higher difficulty. Fastballs will look like lightning bolts, and your reaction time will be tested!

Get used to the speed by practicing in custom practice mode. After a while, everything looks faster!

Zoom in the camera to a pitcher view. Suddenly, every pitch looks like a rocket launch!
