I literally just went through this! Head to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Notifications. There you can tailor them to your heart's content. Easy peasy!
Just click on the notifications icon and swipe the annoying ones away. Problem solved!
First, open Facebook. Click the bell icon in the top right, find the notification you want to remove, and click the three dots on the side to manage them.
