Just unfriend them.
To restrict a Facebook friend, go to their profile, click on the 'Friends' button, and then select 'Edit Friend List.' From there, choose 'Restricted.' They won't see your posts unless they're public or tagged.
From my own experience, putting them in the 'Restricted' list works wonders. They only see what you share publicly鈥攏ot your private stuff!
