On mobile? Open the Facebook app, tap the menu icon, go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Media and Contacts > Autoplay, and choose 'Never Autoplay Videos.'
You can also do it on your computer. Click the tiny arrow in the top-right corner, go to 'Settings & Privacy', then 'Settings', and finally 'Videos' on the left sidebar. Turn off autoplay there!
Just switch off the autoplay in the settings. Simple as that!
