Rank in placement? It's all about skill, not just the W. I aced my placement matches, playing the objective and getting high KDA. Ended up in Platinum, despite losing 2 out of 5. Focus on your game, the rest will follow.

In Valorant, placement games determine your initial rank. Before you start ranked play, you gotta play 5 placement matches. The game's algorithm looks at how well you perform in these matches - it's not just about winning or losing, but also your individual performance counts a lot. So even if your team loses, if you're popping off, you can still get a good rank. After these 5 games, you'll get slapped with your initial rank, then it's up and down from there based on your wins and performance.

Short answer: You play 5 games, Valorant judges you. Play well to impress the algorithm gods and secure a decent rank even if your team tanks.

If you're a Valorant player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Valorant gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
