How do silos work in Stardew Valley?
Silos r super important if u don't wanna spend a fortune on hay during winter. Cut grass, fill silo, happy animals. Simple as that.

Silos in Stardead Valley store feed for your animals. When you cut grass with your scythe on your farm, it automatically converts into hay and gets stored in the silo. You can then use this hay to feed your animals inside the coop or barn. Makes winter less rough on your farm since animals can't graze outside!
Honestly, I never bothered with silos for the longest time and my wallet suffered for it. Once I built one, it was a game changer. Keep that grass growing and your silo will make sure you've always got a stockpile of hay for your critters.
Silos = Meh. Just let the animals graze outside and buy hay for winter. Who has time for farming grass?
