Getting a truffle worm in Terraria is kinda like going on a mushroom hunt, but with more danger. First off, you gotta head to an Underground Mushroom biome. These are the glowing blue areas that you find underground. Once you're there, keep your eyes peeled for a small, glowing worm. That's the truffle worm! It's super skittish though, so you gotta sneak up on it. Using a Bug Net or a Golden Bug Net works best to catch it. If you go stomping around like a giant, it'll dart off faster than you can say 'mushroom'. Pro tip: wearing accessories or using potions that boost your stealth can really help sneak up on them.

Just git gud and catch it with a Bug Net. Easy.
I spent hours trying to find one of these slippery critters! What finally worked for me was setting up a large, flat area in the Underground Mushroom biome and just patrolling back and forth. Took a little while, but I managed to catch a couple. Remember, patience is key, and make sure you've got that Bug Net handy!
