Walk up to a bed or a chair at your base, press 'Y' on Xbox or 'E' on PC, and pick a different character.

You can switch characters only from a safe place like a base or outpost.

You can switch characters at any outpost or home base, just use the radio menu and select 'Check In'. My go-to move during intense missions!
