You can also update your Xbox One controller using a Windows PC. Just connect the controller via USB, install the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store, and follow the instructions.

Plug the controller into your Xbox One with a USB cable, then go to Settings > Devices & Accessories, and select your controller. If there's an update available, you'll see a prompt to update.
