Void Keys were used to access special missions called Void Fissures. But as of Update: Specters of the Rail, Void Keys got replaced by Void Relics! To use a Void Relic, you equip it before starting a Void Fissure mission, crack it open, and get awesome rewards. Happy void hunting, Tenno!

Void Keys are history, my friend! They got swapped for Void Relics. Equip a relic, do a Void Fissure mission, and profit. Simple as that!
