In the main menu, go to options -> graphics, and select 'windowed' from the display mode dropdown. Done and done!

Alt + Enter usually works for switching between fullscreen and windowed mode. Give it a try!

Just go to graphics settings and change the display mode to 'windowed'. If that doesn't work, tweak the preferences.script.txt file in the game directory.
