Basically, shoot stuff, don't get shot. But if you do, slap on some shields and chug those syringes to stay in the game.

Heads up, the health system in Apex could use a buff IMO. Shields feel like they're made of paper sometimes and I spend half the game patching myself up. But hey, that's just the way the cookie crumbles in the Arena.

In Apex Legends, you got a health bar and a shield bar. Your health starts at 100 points. Shields, on the other hand, add extra protection on top of your health. You can get various shield levels (up to 4) which give you extra points – from 50 up to 100 extra points for the Evo Shields as you deal damage. If you’re hit, your shield takes damage first, then your health. You can recharge shields using shield cells and batteries, and heal health with syringes and med kits. Oh, and there's this cool thing called a Knockdown Shield when you're down but not out, giving you a chance to be revived by a teammate!

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
