How does overtime work in Valorant?

Overtime in Valorant kicks off when the score is tied at the end of regulation play, usually 12-12. Both teams have to win by two clear rounds to clinch the match. Teams switch between attacking and defending every round in OT. If both teams keep winning one round each, the OT extends until one team manages a two-round lead. Plus, everyone's economy resets each OT round, with each player getting the same amount of credits to ensure fairness.

Overtime? EZ. Win 2 in a row or go home. Attack, then defend, rinse and repeat till someone pulls ahead by 2. It's like ping pong but with guns and magic abilities.

Not a fan of the overtime system in Valorant, tbh. Feels like it drags on forever sometimes. Wish they'd adopt a different approach to breaking ties.

If you're a Valorant player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Valorant gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
