In Warframe, critical hits (crits) and status effects both enhance your damage! Crits rely on your weapon's critical chance and multiplier to deal extra damage, while status effects (like fire, poison, etc.) depend on your weapon's status chance to inflict debuffs on enemies. So basically, crits go boom, and statuses slowly corrode the baddies!
