In Subnautica, you can travel about 8,000 meters in each direction before hitting the invisible map boundaries where the game just stops you dead in your tracks. So, no extensive world tours here!

You can swim roughly 8,000 meters in any direction in Subnautica before you can't go any further. That's a lot of ocean, folks!

Basically, just keep swimming and you'll hit the edge at around 8,000 meters out. There鈥檚 not much out there though, just a lot of open water and the occasional Reaper Leviathan looking for a snack!

Honestly, you won鈥檛 find anything interesting past 8,000 meters. Just swim within the map and build cool stuff!
