Items in Valheim usually despawn after about 2 in-game days if left on the ground. Better get them before then!

I once lost all my wood because I left it out for a couple of in-game days. It disappeared after that. Lesson learned!

It's about 2 in-game days for items to despawn. Maybe 3 if you're lucky!

They despawn pretty quickly - around 2 days. Just don't be a loot hoarder!
