From my experience, 4 GB of RAM is the sweet spot for smooth gameplay. Anything less and you might experience some lag.

PUBG Mobile needs about 2-3 GB of free storage space for the initial download and updates. To run smoothly, make sure you've got at least 4-6 GB of total available space on your device!

Just get a phone with at least 4 GB of RAM and you'll be good to go. PUBG Mobile isn't THAT demanding.
