How much did Hot Wheels cost in 1968?
Back in 1968, when Hot Wheels first zoomed onto the scene, they were the new cool kids on the block of toy cars. They were sold for around 59 cents each. Imagine that, less than a buck for a piece of what would become toy history!

Just gonna drop this here: 59 cents. That鈥檚 what a shiny new Hot Wheels would have set you back in '68. Makes you wish for a time machine, doesn't it?
59 cents!? My grandfather told me he used to buy them with his pocket change. He鈥檇 get a new Hot Wheels car and still have change left for candy. Those were the days!
59 cents. However, adjusting for inflation, that's about $4.50 in today's money. Still, a bargain if you ask me!
